The area
Kamala sits in a sheltered bay on the west coast, between the energy of Patong and the upmarket calm of Surin. It still has a local village character, with a mosque, a small fishing community and street-side restaurants, alongside resorts and beach clubs. The headland to the north, often called “Millionaire’s Mile”, is home to some of the island’s most exclusive sea-view villas.
