Kata combines two of Phuket’s prettiest beaches, Kata (Kata Yai) and the smaller Kata Noi, with a relaxed town full of cafés, restaurants, yoga studios and surf shops. It has a friendly, community feel and stays lively without becoming hectic.

Getting around
The airport is roughly 55–70 minutes by car. Karon is 5 minutes north, Nai Harn and Rawai 15–20 minutes south, and Chalong about 15 minutes.

Condominiums and apartments near the beaches, and villas on the surrounding hillsides, many with sea views. Kata is in demand with holidaymakers for most of the year, which supports rental income.
