The area
Karon has one of Phuket’s longest and widest beaches, backed by a strip of hotels, restaurants and shops. It is busier than the south of the island but noticeably calmer than Patong, and it has a well-established mix of holidaymakers and long-stay visitors.

Holidaymakers and long-stay visitors who want a big, open beach, plenty of restaurants and a walkable neighbourhood, and investors targeting the holiday-rental market.

Getting around
The airport is about 50–60 minutes by car. Patong is 10–15 minutes north and Kata is 5 minutes south; Chalong and Phuket Town are around 25–35 minutes.
Property in Karon
Mostly condominiums and serviced apartments close to the beach, plus hillside villas with sea views. Short-term rental demand is strong through the high season, from November to April.
